The Homeland Infrastructure Foundation Level Database (HIFLD) Working Group required a flexible web portal that would provide a forum for collaboration between members and working toward the common goal of promoting domestic infrastructure geospatial information sharing, protection, and knowledge management among the HIFLD membership at large.
Technical Innovations:
- Redesigned new Drupal theme and interface based on design of a parent website (2010)
- Part of senior team building new web portal in Drupal CSM
- Managed user subscriptions and requests for 4,000+ users, and later developed tools for easier management of membership roster
- Migrated data from previous site built in ASP
- Updated content and post documents to server as needed on previous site
- Provided way for admin to create new pages and post meeting briefs, data, and images
- Created forms for users to request data and tools for admin to track those requests
- Created tools for users to submit detailed feedback, and for admin to track feedback
- Provided a member search, contact, and export function to facilitate communication between administrators and membership
- Worked with client to determine needs and delegate tasks to team members
- Provided suggestions of features to client to ease content management
